LED light therapy is delivered using three different light sources which provide slightly different results.

Red Light

Red light therapy easily penetrates the skin, improves circulation and brings more blood and nutrients to the area. it also stimulates vital collagen and elastin production. Collagen helps plump skin while elastin firms the skin. The red light is energizing and helps repair damaged cells, giving the skin back it's youthful appearance.

Infrared Light

Infrared (invisible light) penetrates deeper into the skin, repairs and regenerates. Infrared light also stimulates the production of endorphins (chemicals within the brain that decrease pain sensation).

Blue Light

Blue light penetrates into the sebaceous glands in the skin and helps to stimulate porphyrins, chemicals within the bacteria which cause acne. When activated by light, these porphyrins kill bacteria from the inside out. Blue light therapy is often combined with red and infrared light therapy for even better results.

When used in conjunction, LED therapy procedures reduce and kill bacteria which cause acne, reduces inflammation and redness of the skin; reduces the pain associated with deeper acne.

Each light therapy session lasts approximately 30 minutes and the best treatment is achieved when light therapy is done twice a week for six weeks.
